I can’t believe that the lakers are back in the Finals for the second straight year after getting a task of how mighty( or not) they are after playing the rockets and Nuggets. I couldn’t believe that Lakers beat up on the nuggets after barely being able to beat them in almost every other game they played. It just didn’t make any sense, can the Lake show just turn it on or off with the flick a switch or what? It really didn’t make any sense, I am confused that the rockets were giving the Lakers a run for their money and then they looked like a high school team compared to the Lakers. I just don’t think you can fool around with a Cleveland or Orlando team in the Finals, especially Orlando since they have been able to prove all the critics wrong and have won some big games. I really don’t think anyone on the Lakers can give Dwight a challenge in post, Pau is too skinny and disinterested in defense and Bynum gambles too much on Defense. However there is nobody that can guard Kobe and the Magic have had troubles determined who should play the majority of the minutes at the shooting guard position. Seriously its too late to be making these decisions, you have to have someone who is going to be playing 30 plus minutes a game. Seriously Pietrus and Lee have been splitting the minutes almost equally and they have to get into a rhythm or else they won’t be able to beat a more complete team like the Lakers.

I first have to say that USA definitely made up for their previous half hearted win over Australia with a 30 point beat down this mourning. The Aussies had a lot of confidence going into this one, claiming that they weren’t afraid of the Americans and that they would give them a fight. There were reports on various American basketball news publications that the they wouldn’t be surprised if the Americans lost to Australia but, all true hoops heads would knew that the Aussies had no chance of winning. The Americans made mince meat of the Spanish team that won the World Championships in 2006 and they also beat the Greek team by more than 20 points in , who we all know beat them in that very same tournament in 2006. It’s amazing how a few losses in previous world competition can put a sour taste in the hearts of Team USA fans and sports analysts alike that they would go onto to say that the Americans had no chance of beating a weak Australian team.
Spain went on to demolish Crotia in a game where Calderon showed to me whay he is going to be one of the best point guards in the league. He is so cool calm and collected when plays, he knows when to pass and when to shoot. It is hard to know when to pass and when to shoot because if you always pass and you don’t get into an offensice groove your not going to be able to hit big shots down the stretch of a close game. However if if you shoot too much and you down get your teammates involved enough they aren’t to play well, Chris Paul does a good job of this as does Deron Williams. This is how much I think of Jose and to be honest I’m getting tired of hearing all this talk about Ricky Rubio, he’s a good player but, people have been putting so much hype on this kid and he hasn’t lived upto it. I know he’s 17 and he’s paly againist the best in the world in this torunament but, he has scored more 7 points or had more than 5 assists even againist the weakers teams in Pool B. in Pool B play Spain played againist Germany, China and Angola who all don’t have good guards on their teams and he still didn’t show domiance over these guards.

Will Carmelo be traded to the suns and the Conference Finals

I was asked this question last night by a friend of mine and at the time I didn’t even hear that this was a possibility. After following up today, I have found this to be just a half baked rumour which may or may not come true come July. There was also a rumour that Carmelo might be headed to the nets but today Melo’s agent made a comment on his behalf saying that he was not in talks to be traded at this moment.
Last night’s Western were amazing, seeing Kobe take the Lakers on his back and score 25 points in the second half was amazing. I think that a lot of people must have turned off the TV when the Lakers were up 20 in the 3rd quarter. However if you kept the TV on and watched the whole game you were in for a treat.
